Assist is a registered non-profit organisation based in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. It is the umbrella project that houses several divisions, each created to address a need in the community.
Having worked in the community for many years we have been able to identify not only the needs, but the solutions. Built on the motto "You cant change the world, but you CAN change the town you live." We are committed to changing lives. In all we do we focus on both sustainable and holistic approaches as we tackle the many issues that one faces in our country such as orphans, child abuse, poverty, HIV and morality to name a few.
To improve the social and basic health services for children in South Africa and to create a better future for the children by protecting them from harm by equipping adults to care for them better by giving adults skills and education. This will ultimately alleviate poverty, reduce unemployment, prevent early death and prevent HIV/AIDS transmission through education. To reduce the number of orphaned children by promoting foster care and adoption in the community.
